Ongoing protests and demonstrations: support and advice for customers
Thursday 8 August 2024
We understand that some of our customers may be worried and unsettled by the protests and demonstrations happening across the country.
We recognise the impact this unrest is having on communities. At Alliance Homes, we cherish the diversity of our colleagues and the communities we serve. We do not tolerate racism, islamophobia, and violence of any kind – these have no place in our organisation and our neighbourhoods.
You can contact us in confidence on 03000 120 120 if you feel unsafe or have witnessed and incident. We’re here to help.
These organisations are also offering support and advice if you are concerned and feeling anxious:
- SARI (Support Against Racism and Inequality) provide support for victims of hate crime and those who want to help a victim of hate crime. Their service is free and confidential.
- Mental health charity, Mind, provide practical information and guidance on finding support if you’ve experienced racism and on looking after your mental health.
If you need to report an incident of hate crime:
Contact the police to report hate crime. You can:
- Call 999 if a crime is happening now or if someone is in immediate danger
- Call 101 if it's not an emergency
If you want to report a crime, but don’t want to contact the police:
- You can anonymously report a crime through the Crimestoppers website or by calling them at 0800 555 111.
If you see any damage being done to Alliance Homes properties, please let us know. You can contact us in confidence at 03000 120 120.
We will update customers on any impact these demonstrations may have on our services. If we need to reschedule any appointments, we will contact affected customers directly.
