Alliance Homes customer receives ‘Engagement Hero’ award

Alliance Homes customer and Feedback Panel member, Alisa, has been recognised as an ‘Engagement Hero’ by Tpas, the leading tenant engagement organisation.

Alisa received a Tenant Volunteer Recognition Certificate at the recent Tpas South West member event, where she joined our Customer Engagement team along with two other Panel members, Angela and Mary, for a day of networking and connecting with other tenants, housing associations, and representatives from the Social Housing Regulator.

Alisa was nominated by Rachel Johnson, Customer Engagement Officer at Alliance Homes, who explained how she has gone above and beyond to support Alliance Homes in improving services since becoming a Customer Scrutiny Panel member in August 2024.

Rachel said: “Alisa really shows what customer volunteering is all about. She gives her time generously, plays a key role in how we continue to improve and adapt our services, and always makes sure other customers’ voices are heard. Advocacy is never easy, but she embraces it with boundless energy.”

On receiving the certificate, Alisa said: “I was genuinely astounded to receive my Tpas certificate. To me, I’m simply doing what any engaged person would do, but being recognised for it has brightened up my day. It made me realise that the engagement team at Alliance Homes really values what we, as customers, bring to the table through our lived experiences. It has motivated me to do even more work toward changes that’ll benefit all of Alliance Homes’ customers.”
