Preparing for a low carbon future
We’ve made great strides in decarbonising our homes, helping to improve comfort for customers, tackle fuel poverty, and make heating bills more affordable. More than 85% of our homes have an energy efficiency rating of EPC band C or above.
We want to keep improving the quality of our housing so that all our customers are able to enjoy the benefits of living in a warmer, greener, more energy efficient home.
Warmer, Greener Living
Warmer, Greener Living is our multi-million pound programme to bring all our homes up to at least Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) C by 2030. We'll be contacting customers who live in those homes that are below EPC C, to guide them through the upgrade process. Improvement measures will include cavity wall insulation, external wall insulation and solar PV panels.

Building new energy efficient homes
We're committed to building much-needed new affordable homes across the region. We're working with housebuilders to make sure that all our new homes are fit for the future and designed to be highly energy efficient (including to Passivhaus standard). Our new developments will include a range of 'greener' features, including air source heat pumps and solar panels.
