Home Energy Service

The Home Energy Service is here to help our customers save money on their home energy bills. Our advisors have been trained by the Centre for Sustainable Energy on all matters relating to energy use, billing and dealing with energy companies. They're also trained on a whole range of other matters that can help including maximising incomes and connecting customers to community services that support health and wellbeing. 

Our Home Energy Advice Service offers free, impartial advice on energy related matters and will help customers with:

  • using their heating system and controls as efficiently as possible to meet households needs
  • understanding fuel bills, finding the most appropriate tariff, managing fuel debts and payments
  • guidance on issues related to disrepair including damp and mould, and repairs and maintenance
  • accessing grants and benefits to improve home energy efficiency, for example to reduce unwanted heat loss, improve insulation and upgrade systems
  • advocacy to support them to contact their fuel provider or other relevant organisations that support independent living
