So that we can continue to keep you and your home safe, we need to carry out an electrical safety inspection. As your landlord, we have a legal duty to carry out these checks every five years or at change of tenancy.

Your electrical safety inspection appointment

When your electrical safety inspection is due, we’ll contact you to make an appointment at a time that's convenient to you.

To rearrange and appointment or if you have any questions about electrical servicing contact us.

What happens on the day?

We'll need to turn off your home’s power supply for a period during the inspection to allow us to complete our inspection and tests safely.  You won't be able to use any electrical appliances at this time.

If any fixed wiring appliances such as a shower or an electric fire suite are found to be unsafe, we’ll arrange another appointment to make any repairs.

Your responsibilities

You will need to be home during your inspection. It will take around two hours to complete. If you cannot make this appointment, someone over the age of 18 can attend on your behalf.

If you have a pay-as-you-go meter, make sure you have credit as we will need access to the electrical supply.

Please make sure we can easily get to the fuse box, sockets, switches, light fittings, smoke alarms and any other electrical equipment.

To keep our colleagues safe, please ensure that any dogs are safely secured before we arrive.

After your electrical safety check

We, or our contractor Morgan Lambert, may contact you to arrange an appointment to inspect the work completed during your safety check. This appointment is not legally required, but we appreciate everyone who is able to give us access to their home.
