Alliance Homes is helping North Somerset residents meet the cost-of-living crisis with a team of Home Energy Advisors who can help reduce utility bills, whilst still keeping homes warm.
The cost of home energy has never been higher, the price rises have affected everyone. However, because energy is a spend that you have to make, the rises have been felt most, by those people who are on lower incomes.
Alliance Homes is helping residents in North Somerset respond to the cost-of-living crisis and its latest assistance is the launch of their Home Energy Service.
The Home Energy Service is a team of two advisors who have received extensive training on all matters to do with heating, utilities and keeping homes warm in the most efficient way. The team were trained by the Centre for Sustainable Energy, who are also on hand to provide detailed expert advice to the team, where necessary.
Home Energy Service Team Leader, Andrew Craig explained what the team can do. “There’s a lot of advice out there, but it can be difficult to navigate because everyone’s home is different, everyone’s heating system is different and everyone’s needs are different. What our Home Energy Advisors do is visit people in their home, talk to them, assess their situation and then provide appropriate advice."
The team are ready with advice on everything you might need to know about home energy, from how to get the best from night storage heaters, managing pre-payment meters, understanding your bills as well as lots of tips.
Our Home Energy Advisers don’t just explain how heating works, they can help customers understand bills, talk to energy companies on the customer’s behalf and review customers’ benefits situation.
