The government has awarded Alliance Homes up to 1.1 million pounds of funding to provide measures that will help to keep 135 of their existing homes warm.
Alliance’s team successfully bid for the funding which was awarded by the new Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and is part of a wider, national initiative worth nearly £800 million.
Alliance’s older homes are now set to receive a range of measures that will help to make them more efficient to heat and stay warm. The retrofit improvements will include external insulation, cavity insulation, loft insulation, PV solar panels and efficient ventilation systems.
Louise Swain, Alliance Homes’ Chief Executive commented. “I’m thrilled that Alliance has this opportunity to make more of our homes efficient to heat. Not only will this help our customers who continue to be hit hard by the cost-of-living crisis but it also matches our strategic goal of being a green and ethical business.”
The improvements will be rolled out over the next years with the first improvements scheduled for late summer.
